STUDIO POLICIES & PARTICPANT AGREEMENT

Welcome to Brass Belles. To ensure a safe, respectful, and empowering experience for everyone, please review and adhere to the following studio policies. By attending classes, events, or activities at Brass Belles, you agree to these policies and our waiver terms.

 

STUDIO ETIQUETTE & SAFETY

CELL PHONES

Please ensure your phone is on silent and stored away during class to avoid disruption. If you need to attend to something urgent, kindly step outside the practice area.

PHOTOGRAPHY & FILMING

To respect privacy, phones must remain stored during class. Filming is permitted only during:

  • Practice / Open Studio

  • Private parties

  • Private sessions

  • Class time with explicit instructor approval

By attending Brass Belles, you acknowledge and agree that photos or videos taken with consent may be used for promotional purposes.

ARRIVAL, ATTENDANCE & CANCELLATIONS

LATE ARRIVALS:

Students must be in class, dressed, and ready within 5 minutes of the class start time. Late arrivals will not be admitted for safety reasons and will be charged as if attended. Warm-up is essential to injury prevention.

If you are more than 5 minutes late, your spot may be given to another student and you will not be permitted to join the class. You can email us at info@brassbelles.ca with any questions.

CANCELLATIONS / ABSENCES

Cancellations within 10 hours of class start time are considered late cancellations.

  • Cancellations must be processed online only (phone, email, or voicemail cancellations are not accepted).

  • Late cancellations and no-shows are charged as attended.

Buy-Back Option: As of November 1, 2023, clients may preserve their class credit by paying a $8.85 + HST ($10 total) late cancellation fee. Email us to approve the charge.

WAIT LIST POLICY

When a class is full, you may join the waitlist.

  • If a spot opens, you will be automatically added and notified by email.

  • Once added, you are subject to the standard cancellation policy.

  • If email notifications are disabled and you are added, you will still be charged as attended.

If you are unsure you can attend, please remove yourself from the waitlist to avoid fees.

WHAT TO WEAR

Dress comfortably in athletic or pole-specific attire. Please review class descriptions for specific requirements.

Pole Classes

  • Essentials (Level 1): Tank top, leggings or yoga pants; shorts optional

  • Levels 2–6: Sports bra or tank, fitted shorts, knee pads or leg warmers for floor work

Aerial Classes

  • PoleSilks: Sleeved shirt or tank, leggings, and shorts as required

  • Aerial Silks & Lyra: Sleeved tops (no crop tops), leggings, midriff covered

All classes are barefoot unless otherwise specified.

MEMBERSHIP, PACKAGES & FEES

MEMBERSHIPS

  • Members must pre-register for classes.

  • Cancellations must follow the standard policy.

  • Membership pauses: $10 first request / $35 additional

Packages & Class Passes

  • Activated immediately upon purchase

  • Cannot be paused, extended, refunded, or transferred

  • Please review expiration dates prior to purchase

ADDITIONAL FEES

  • No-Show fee (NSF): $35

PARTIES & EVENTS

  • A $100 non-refundable deposit is required at booking and applied to your total

  • One rebooking is permitted if cancelled outside the 10-hour window due to illness or legitimate circumstances

  • Cancellations within 10 hours will forfeit the deposit

OTHER POLICIES

NON-REFUND POLICY

All purchases are final. No refunds or transfers.

IMPAIRMENT POLICY

All participants must be sober and not under the influence. Anyone suspected of impairment will be asked to leave and charged as attended.

AWARENESS & ASSUMPTION OF RISK

Participation in pole and aerial fitness involves inherent risks, including physical injury, equipment malfunction, and unforeseen hazards. By attending, you acknowledge and accept these risks and confirm you are medically cleared or choosing to participate at your own risk.

Instructors may refuse participation for safety reasons. You may decline any activity at any time.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY & WAIVER

By participating, you release Brass Belles, its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates from all claims related to injury, death, property damage, or loss, including negligence, to the fullest extent permitted under Ontario and Canadian law.

COMMUNICABLE ILLNESS WAIVER

Attending in-person activities carries a risk of exposure to communicable illnesses. By entering the premises, you accept this risk and agree to follow all health and safety guidelines.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

Brass Belles reserves the right to refuse service, suspend, or terminate participation for conduct that is unsafe, disruptive, abusive, or inconsistent with studio values. Unused services may be forfeited and are non-refundable except where required by law.

CONTRACTURAL AGREEMENT

All purchases constitute legally binding contracts. Contract changes require 3–5 business days and must be submitted in writing and confirmed by Brass Belles.

By attending, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these policies and the Brass Belles waiver.
