This class will teach you the basics of both aerial silks and lyra. Learn basic terminology and skills. The intro class will focus mostly on core strength. We will start with various climbs and progress into different holds and inversions. We recommend taking this class a minimum of 3-6 times before progressing. Some students are happy here for many months as they build the base experiences and techniques.
Lyra (Aerial hoop) classes include a warm up stretch and strengthening conditioning drills. In this class you will learn various ways to mount and dismount. You will also learn different hangs, poses, and transitions both above and below the bar. The skills to be learned on these are endless. While we recommend taking Intro to Aerials first you can also start your journey specifically on hoop.
This class will build on material learned in Level 1 for more complex moves and transitions. It will also start to introduce dynamic movement on the line and lyra.
Aerial Silks classes include a warm-up stretching and strengthening conditioning skills. In this class, we will build on the skills learned in the intro to aerials class * it is not yet mandatory to start with the Intro, but we recommend it. You will be introduced to different poses and wraps higher in the air while building a strong foundation.
This is a perfect way to get in a great workout and have fun at the same time!
This class will start to do basic moves aerially, as well as learn to use them to flow into other moves. Drops will be introduced as well. Instructor approval is required
Aerial Sling used a single loop of fabric, rather than two individual strands. This class will explore shapes and transitions, as well as mounting and dismounting the sling. The possibilities are endless!
This is a catch all for either specific time of days where attendance is low and we will happily work to make anyone who shows up challenge their skills without restrictions or limits on who can attend, or what apparatus they can use. Class sizes are usually smaller and more patience is requested as the instructor will be hopping around the room!
This class introduces students to choreography in the air! The class will utilize aerial apparatus to create routines done to music that focus on fluidity on the apparatus. This is usually open to students in any level and will specify if there are requirements
Often confused with the pole Skills class this class is a fantastic hybrid of both POLE & AERIAL. Love Pole? Love Silks? This is the class for you!
This merges the two apparatus together for a whirl of a time!
The Instructor will tailor the conditioning to whomever shows up and ensure that you are working on elements of spins and tricks within your level. All levels are welcome.
Class structure includes climbing, conditioning, new learning and review. Experience is not necessary, but understand that with mixed levels the student must take the drivers seat on their own practice. Instruction will be shown for moves at each level, and students are then expected to work only within their skill level.
Recommend shorts and top. Leave the jewelry at home. Bring leggings for more protection. Always nice to have options so you protect your skin!
Practice makes Perfect! This is unstructured time for you to practice what you have learned or work on routines. This includes all aerials and pole work. No instruction will be given. As always you will be expected to follow open gym policies, and adhere to the aerial promise and you are only allowed to do skills that you are comfortable doing without a spotter.
Not applicable for brand new students, or students not already practicing at our location ~ contact the studio for rentals if that is the case.
Practice makes Perfect! This is unstructured time for our newest students to practice what you have learned or work on routines or just down right get to know other Belles! This is the pre qualifier to attend the other open studio play practice times. This includes all aerials and pole apparatus. Instruction will be given as to how to use future Play times. A staff member will be present, but you are only allowed to do skills that you are comfortable doing without a spotter. Once a month this is held.
