Registration is highly recommended for all of our classes, as we cannot guarantee a spot for you without signup. Registration opens 14 days in advance and classes fill up quickly, especially in January, so you are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible to ensure your spot in class. We also require a minimum number of registrations to run a class, so in the event we cancel a class, the studio may not be open. Please check the class schedule before coming to the studio, as we do not have staff on-site except during class hours.
Our Introduction to Pole classes and Signature Fitness Classes are perfect for first time pole dancers, these classes are suitable for absolute beginners and help build strength and flexibility. We get asked all the time what we recommend for how many classes a student should be taking in Intro Pole classes before advancing to Essentials Pole Dance. Learning the pole fundamentals is designed to help develop upper body & core strength, improve flexibility & coordination through conditioning moves, dance & spins on the pole. Each person is starting from their own unique point of entry and physical strength and dance, fluidity of movement. We have structured key elements that have to be met to level up, but it takes some gals 5 classes and some 5 months. Absolutely. Our classes are designed to get your stronger, safely & quickly (within your own progression spectrum). With a focus on upper body & core strengthening and conditioning in all of our classes, you can often feel a change in your strength in a matter of weeks.
Intro & Signature Fitness Classes – Dress for yoga, in comfortable leggings or yoga pants, a tank top and bare feet. No special shoes or equipment are required.
Essential to Advanced Pole Classes – Shorts, tank top or sports bra & leg warmers or knee pads.
Be sure to bring a bottle of water and leave your jewelry at home.
We sell grip aids at the studio, so when it is time to help you stick, we have you covered for that!
Each pole class has a limit of 10 students, one per pole. Signature Fitness Classes have a varied capacity, usually 12-15 students. Aerial Classes have smaller numbers and are class specific, but 6-8 is usual for those classes. All classes are 1 hour in length, with the exception of our EXPRESS classes that are 30 minutes.
No dance background is necessary. You will learn everything you need to know in our classes. Most of our classes involve some dance, involving light choreography, coordination & expression. Many of our instructors come from a trained dance background, so they will be able to help you learn to move like a dancer.
Each studio has a unique approach to pole dance and fitness and not all levels throughout the studios are standard across the board. We recommend taking a class in your current level or lower to see where your best fit would be based on your ability.
Our studio has two washrooms which are private, and an open changing area. We have cubbies for your personal belongings but we are not responsible for any lost or stolen items so please leave any valuables in your vehicle!
Anyone of any age or fitness level, with or without any previous experience, is welcome at our studio. Our classes are designed to suit the needs and abilities of everyone, encouraging you to progress at your own rate. You must be at least 18+ years of age to participate in certain classes, including Exotic and Sensual classes.
People with the following conditions should consult us before attending: back problems, heart problems, pregnancy, previous or current muscle injuries that limit your daily mobility.
